East St Paul Family Chiropractic is pleased to offer Shockwave Therapy in East St Paul (Birds Hill), West St Paul, Lockport, Selkirk and Beausejour. Shockwave therapy is predominantly used to treat soft tissue injuries ranging from acute to chronic. Many soft tissue adhesions may result from surgeries, athletic injuries, auto accidents, repetitive work stresses, or simply postural stresses over time. The scarring and/or calcification of tendons that my result can restrict range of motion and lead to inflammation and pain. Radial Shockwave Therapy is an effective treatment for a variety of soft tissue conditions that has been developed over the last 20 years.

How does it work?

With Radial Shockwave Therapy a projectile accelerated in the handpiece generates a mechanical pressure wave which is transferred to the body via an applicator head for the purpose of reducing adhesions (scarring) in muscle, ligament, and tendon.

What it is not: It is NOT electrical shocks.
